The duo’s on-screen chemistry coupled with off-screen camaraderie had fueled speculation about their relationship status. Reports had previously surfaced, suggesting that Shivangi, 25, and Kushal, 39, were romantically involved, with insiders claiming they were in a committed relationship and contemplating an official announcement when the time is right. He said, “Hey, media folks, let me know one thing, I getting engaged, and I don’t even know about it? I am here in Thailand training in martial arts. How can you do this? At least, authenticate the news properly, my friends. Who are your sources?”

Their desire for privacy echoes previous instances where Shivangi was linked to her ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ co-star Randeep Rai, which she dismissed as mere friendship in 2022.
